Lens: Tamron 90mm macro Camera: K-5
Posted By: jcdog2006, 04-27-2017, 05:16 PM

Returned to Carrizo Plain 3rd time in a month and hiked almost 6 hours on these colorful hills. These are from K-5+T90 macro lens.

Very good shots which proves how versatile a Macro Lens can be.

Thanks! And Agree to your statement about macro lens, that's the reason why I own around 30 macro lenses.

Amazing! Are they all native wildflowers (as opposed to introduced or escapees)?

And "yay" to macro lenses for landscapes

@Susan, yes it is like a heaven for hikers and wildflower lovers. I met many pro photographers on the trail, one came form Canada.

You may visit this place during late March/Early April, it peaks for 2-3 weeks only.

I think most of them are native, but I am not so sure. This linkmentioned all of the names, but I could not match the name with flower.

I hardly shoot landscape with macro lens, I'm happy for getting good results. Some one told me macro lens is designed for close object, not for landscape.
