when the world is puddle-wonderful

Still getting the feel for my P 67 and the whole film thing--I'm pretty certain trying to catch a young Airedale at rest is a fool's errand, but fortunately a wayward stag beetle captured Maisie's attention long enough for me to kinda/sorta nail focus...

Thanks! One of these days I might have Maisie "Sit/Stay" long enough for a proper portrait, but I'm going to burn through a lot of film...

Nice shot!

Clicking it led me to your Flickr and I have to say I am really digging the way you capture the light in a lot of your outdoor / woods photos. It has a certain mood. If you don't mind me asking is there a specific time of day that you like to go out for those kind of shots?

Great shot. We have a 3 month old puppy right now. I know what you mean about trying to catch them not moving. It's either sleeping - or full speed!

David, kyricom--Thanks! Maisie is definitely a handful--a "rainy day Airedale" is a combination of a reciprocating saw and ditch-witch--but she's a welcome addition to the family.

Lightbox--Thanks for the kind words...I'm lucky enough to live a short walk from a couple of "urban wildernesses" so I have the luxury of waiting for good light. Mid-morning or late afternoon after a shower seems to work well for a lot of shots on my K5, though I'm thinking that film might need a bit more candlepower keep the shadows from blocking up.

Thank you kindly... Maisie currently smells like the dead mole she rolled in, but we're still very happy she's with us this Christmas season.
