Beautiful shot. You really captured the intelligence of your subject. He (she) seems very focused. Contemplating.

Beautiful lighting, composition and I really like how the portrait fades into blackness in the background. An air of the sinister seems to be there. but then perhaps that's just my impression. Lighting of the amber eyes and the cheeks ....exceptional.

Well done. I would frame that and hang it...in house.

I like everything about this. It's all been said. If it were mine, it would already be enlarged, framed and hanging on a wall in PROMINENT place.

There's nothing not to like in this portrait you've captured it expertly.

same question here! care to elaborate how you did that? where was the baboon, usually they are behind a glass cage which makes taking pix very difficult

Gday mate, the shot was taken behind glass at Melbourne zoo, the light was very in and out that day so i was not hoping for much, but patience pays off and in a shaded pen a few small rays of light were around so took a few shots and checked the back of the camera, the face was lit really nice but the background was a bit distracting so a bit of Lightroom love and thats about it mate, hope that helps
