The three rose bushes on our new place have been neglected and returned to rootstock. They still provide some opportunities though.

Thank you. Not a lot of subject matter at the new place. These old, forgotten rose bushes are the only flowers on the property. Currently working in the yard to change that.
Am now relying on my K-50 for a while. I drowned my K-3 in the Costa Rican rain forest.

Oh dear, WR is not waterproof... when it comes to rain forest style.

I knew I was pushing it at the time. Problem didn't show up until four days after the rain forest trek. A narrow, yellowish, vertical line in the rear LCD. Another three days till I got back to the states in which the camera was still working. Two days more until I had time to drive to Portland and hand it over to Advance Camera Repair. By that time the corrosion had spread fairly significantly and camera wouldn't even turn on. They offered to do their best to repair it but it wouldn't be cheap and they could not guaranty it wouldn't come back. Decided I'd just take the hit monetarily and wait for the K-3ii successor. Crossing my fingers that Ricoh puts one out and the K-50 doesn't come down with aperture block failure.
Here's to living and learning. Even at 58 years old.

Aye they've got one out already, I believe it's called a K1.

I've heard of it. I have five ASP-C lenses. But I'd be lying if I said the K1 hadn't crossed my mind.

Awesome photography, my friend. Wonderful capture and easy to gaze at and soak it all in. Many thanks for sharing.

Just a tip. Shoot for the K-70. You won't regret it. TT
