First K20D model shoot... yup, think I'll keep it...
Posted By: hamidlmt, 08-14-2008, 01:34 PM

With life being so busy, I haven't had a lot of time to shoot with my new K20D.... but, Heather was in town for just a bit (she moved to Hawaii) and wanted to do a shoot.

I took a mild Strobist approach... used a wirelessly triggered AF-540 through a shoot-through umbrella.

All shots were with a DA* 50-135mm 2.8 except for the third image which used the FA 31mm 1.8 Limited.

Nice images...i particularly like the bokeh of the FA 31mm 1.8 Limited - was that taken wide open or f2/f2.8?

Nice to see some of your work again. The first and last shots are excellent. I like the last one best. Doesn't hurt that it's the 31mm but the pose and limited DOF work in this shot.

I've just been taking a break from the forums. No worries.

I'll post a couple more in a post below. I also have another shoot that I haven't gone through yet and have another couple shoots planned this weekend. I'll post samples soon.

Thanks Peter!

That last shot was actually with the 50-135. Both it and the 31 are excellent chunks o' glass.

Thanks Ash! Yes... I've shot with Heather before. In fact, she was one of the first models I worked with after getting my K10D way back when.
