Thanks, mate, I now have a cute little butterfly in the small of my back. Goes with the dolphin on my left buttock.

TMI clackers. Love the tats but I don't have any. My daughter and two grand daughters do though.

Yeah, it's a generational thing, Photolady.

I get that it's now mainstream, it's no longer just the province of bikies, sailors and guys doing time.

The skills of many of these artists is undeniable, too. And the patience of the customers ... some I talked to had been needled for eight hours straight.

Great work (of all artists in front and behind the camera).
I was never brave enough to get one ... maybe for my 61st birthday??

I think one of your countrymen got a tatt of the FA31 Ltd element diagram ... much cooler than an anchor or a dragon, obviously!

Nicely taken Clarkey. Art is such an individual taste. Not my cup o' tea but it is undeniable that these kids think they are important. I never have figured out how they think they are being individual by looking like everyone else with tatts, but hey, what would I know? (colour me fuddy duddy).

I hope these kids still like them in 40 years time, there is no going back (or is there? I've often thought a tatt removal business would be a goldmine )

My daughter and her hubby have quite a collection, but they are respectful enough to at least make a pretense of covering them up when they visit. No neck or face tatts, thank goodness.

Get in at the ground level, Wiz!

There were some terrific twee cartoon animals and photorealistic depictions of family members.

But there could be a massive demand for laser facilities in a decade's time as people now working in middle management remember that unlike dyed hair and piercings, that Celtic sleeve can't be discarded.

Thanks, PJV. Note that the leftmost judge in the last pic has black lizard contacts in his eyes. Could be your new look!
