An Eastern Spinebill (honeyeater). Like most small birds in the wild they don't seem to stay still for more than half a second at a time so it's always satisfying to get something half decent with the humble DA 55-300.

Not only is the bird a beauty, but the setting amongst the striking purple flowers is outstanding.
