I was chasing around some dragonflies this afternoon. They were plentiful! Dragonflies are beautiful, but they are brutal as hell. Us humans would be in serious trouble if dragonflies had a 4 foot wing span.

Thanks eaglem. I look forward to a long summer of trying to catch images of dragonflies. They are fearless creatures and will often seem to pose for pictures. They couldn't care less that I've got a camera lens crammed up in their face.

Those are very nice pictures. I have trouble with the first step - finding them- but you are doing very well. Fortunately, they're focus is going after insects that bother us, not going after us {of course, I wouldn't have trouble finding them then }

Terrific shots Knock! It is neat seeing photos of different varieties than we have in my area. I imagine they are pretty terrifying to all of the other insects when they are flying around.
