Nice exposure and composition Tony. And noticeably cleaner than the front of my Chevy pick up truck.

I recall some years ago, I was co-hosting some Japanese visitors from Tokyo and there was a bit of a language barrier. We did have an interpreter who was very good.

We were going out to visit one of our universities and unfortunately the weather was around -35. We provided toques and warm clothing for the visitors and I grabbed a toque out of my car's trunk. This particular toque was a gift from my children and happened to have the Chevrolet bow tie emblem, as per the OP photograph...no words just the Chevy bow tie emblem.

When I pulled the toque on, immediately two of the Japanese men started smiling and chanting....Chevrolet...Chevrolet. The quick recognition of the Chevrolet bow tie made me realize how recognizable this badge is, throughout different parts of the world.

It was a lot of fun and quite a learning experience to be with the visitors from Japan.

Many thanks for the wonderful story on Americana. I can remember when my company transferred me from the Portland, Oregon office to their office in Tacoma, WA.

Every morning for months while on my way to work, I would tune in to the commercial jingle for the ad that followed. It is so catchy, that I and many others would be humming the tune for the entire day. Really funny when lunch hour came around, and so many co-workers were trying to sing the jingle with their mouths full of food. )

Thanks again for the story.

I did call around to the local area Chevy dealers and one was especially generous. They quoted a price to me of $25,000.00 for the Bow Tie, and just because they were in a good mood, they would throw in a Malibu LT. )).

Nice detail! I think this works really well as an abstract.
