Great shots! Hearing all those old warbirds flying by must have been something as well.

The B-29 is very impressive on take off, can't imagine what it must have sounded like when huge formations were taking off to bomb Japan.

Very nice! I wish they'd come around here. That B-17 is great! (the B-25 is nice too)

It's a great show. They have it on the first weekend in June every year and this was maybe the best I've been to. I went back today with a friend but didn't bring my cameras and wish I would've, couple more planes came in over night.

I took some pictures with my phone of some camera equipment they had set up, I'll post those later to share. I talked to the guy about the cameras for about 40 minutes, it was a great learning experience.

Wow! Nice series of aircraft shots. A Tomahawk, Aircobra, Fifi, Mustang, Spitfire. What's not to like?

That is a Bell P-63 Kingcobra. It was a updated version of a P-39, more .50 cal and a big cannon in the center of the prop. It was mostly used by the Soviet Air Force.

It was the first one I ever saw, wish it would've flown while I was there.

I made plastic kit versions of some of those, and read more than a few WWI & WWII flyer stories.

Also -- interesting to see both German and American half-track vehicles!

They always have a good variety of equipment. One year they had a Soviet Yak and a British Avro Lancaster bomber, I think at the time only three were still flying. They tease us most years with a ME-109 but it never shows. I would love to see a ME-262 one year, that would be incredible to see.

Here are some more shots, including a P-61 that the museum there at Reading airport is working on getting back into the air.
