Just gotta love the styling on the late 30's-pre-50's ford vehicles.... back when car designers had some aesthetic sense.

Never seen a old Merc Ute before. Quite well done.

My father had a '41 Mercury convertible after WW2. Same styling. In Canada and the USA the '49 Mercury looked significantly different, a new model. I wonder if Ford of Australia kept on using the old Mercury styling for their '49 Ute as it was a specialist model ? Lovely photo.
