More Shots at over 200 yards
Lens: DA 560 Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Conowingo MD.

Spent the afternoon along the river today and most of the action was just to far away to get any good shots of the fishing. I tried taking some shots of the eagles sitting on the rocks at over 200 yards just to see how they would turn out. They are cropped a lot and nothing great, but I don't think they are horrible either.

The first shot of five eagles is at 230 yards, the second and third at 245. I use a laser range finder to get the distance.

I had to search for the five in the first one. As you say, not National Geographic material but it is satisfying to try for this kind of shot. You will have to commando crawl in a bit closer for the killer pic. Discarded tyre in the second shot. It is hard to avoid rubbish anywhere. If you are like me, you only notice it later.
