Very nice shots. Joshua Tree in my plans for the next visit to Southern Cal. Any tips on where to go while there would be great.

I only had a day so I mostly drove around and did some photography. If you are coming in Summer, it is going to get extremely hot so you might want to stay in a shaded area (which is very hard to find) or your camp for the afternoon. I would recommend the Cactus Garden, Jumbo Rocks, and Skull Rock area for sunset photography. If you are planning to do night photography then the darkest part of the park is near Cactus Garden or Arch Rock. Other than that just drive around to see various rock formations.
