Night at the museum
Posted By: -=JoN=-, 02-18-2007, 09:14 PM

Took my cousin to the Museum of natural history today, also got to use the (finally) the Sigma 28mm EX DG and got to play around fully with the 540FGZ.
nothing out of this world, but the combo worked great in some very dim lighting (the spot beam on the 540 helped out a lot!)

540 helped out a lot in this one.

this was a very dark display, set the 540 to -1.5 ev, readjusted f/stop and shot
first pic was just black

the 540 added that extra bit of punch to the shot.

no post processing, and all were shot with +2 sharpness and contrast in camera, and 6MP jpg

resized w/ MS photo resizer

I have also learned a few things:
an external flash unit is really great
the impact batteries suck ass
lowepro didnt feel uncomfortable at all
LI-80 screen was a great help for compositions
and i really, really love this camera
