Awesome, you caught a really dramatic moment, and I'm captivated by how unusual the environment seems to be for a Bald Eagle...I never associate them with high plains, though I guess they go where the bunnies are.

I live nestled in the mountains, not on the high plains. This was taken almost at the top of a mountain. There's a lake below that they fish in.

gaweidert: Thanks also! This moment definitely was one once in a lifetime. I heard the blackbird/crow screeching, & happened to look up the mountain & spotted the Eagle. I think he must have had a fish or something.
