Cut Flowers through an inexpensive lens
Lens: Rikenon 50mm 2.0 Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Doctor's Office ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/13s Aperture: F5.6

Hello again, tried to take a properly focused picture of some cut flowers sitting in the waiting room at a Dr's office today.
Overall I like the new $15.00 Rikenon 50 mm I shot it with. Having the camera beep when focused helps too, even though I missed a bunch. The difference in rotation to go from focused to unfocused is very small though. Very small crop on left and right edges to try to balance them, exported as JPEG at 100% quality in Photo Sheep. Very sharp, nice bokeh. $15 well spent. ;-)

Thanks for the comments. I was surprised by the fact that several of the shots I took with this lens worked well and looked good to me in RAW and JPEG while using an editor. I am a complete amateur and have had a DSLR for a whole 4 days so if Tony says it is a good picture of a flower I will happily accept that judgement. I still have lots to learn about framing a shot but at least the equipment works!

Nice shot. I have one of these lenses that came with the Ricoh XRM I purchased new in 1990 or so. It is an excellent lens. Has some great reviews posted here. It is almost a pancake lens when mounted on the K1. About the only place it lags is in contrast a bit, but that is easily corrected.
