Camping in Alabama Hills will have some rewarding views.

Thanks for sharing.

My first thought was "that's Alabama???" Then I did a search and learned something new today.

Interesting shot. Route 395 has some nice scenery along it and not far off it. Lots of western movies were made in the area. "Movie Road" runs through the Hills, which are similar to Joshua Tree, without the trees. The hills are named after the Civil War era ship CSA Alabama.

I spent just one night in Alabama Hills last month and it was wonderful.

I had the same thought when I heard about Alabama Hills for the first time.

Thank you. Alabama Hills is an amazing place. I was there just for the weekend. Will probably go back sometime in fall when the temperatures cool down.

Its beautiful. Its one of the darkest places and on a new moon night, you can see the milky way pretty clearly with naked eyes.
