Milky Way over the ocean
Lens: Sigma 18-125 DC HSM Camera: K-70 Photo Location: Kalbarri, WA ISO: 6400 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F4

I was down on the beach an hour before sunrise this morning to capture an ISS pass, and took the opportunity to capture the Milky Way low over the ocean. considering the moon was overhead and waning around 40%

That is so cool. I would love to try that but where I live we don't see stars much because of all the lights.

Sorry for the tardy reply, I've been camping out for a month, capturing more night skies, among other things. The details on the shot are shown up in the title bar, as always. Thanks for the replies.

Wonderful result and you've done something I am planning to do later this fall with hopefully some northern lights as a bonus.
