Not sure of the genus of this flower.
Lens: Canon 18~55mm f/3.5~5.6 Camera: Canon EOS Rebel t5. Photo Location: Sherwood Forest ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F7.1

It looks like a New Guinea Red Impatiens, the spiky leaves and stamen shape gave me the clues I needed to identify it.

A Google image search using the term 'New Guinea Red Impatiens' will bring up a lot of shots that look like yours.

We have several colours of New Guinea Impatiens planted around the base of a maple tree in our garden but no solid red ones. Some of them have iridescent scales in the petals that shimmer and sparkle when the light catches them in the right way.
