Bear Cubs

Lots of bear cubs to be seen this summer in the Smokies.

So what lens did you use? Hopefully nothing less than 200mm or so . . .

I used the 300 with the 1.4 TC. Mom was with the cubs. She had three cubs and they crossed the road right in front of us twice. She would cross then call to the cubs to join her. The second time there was a bit of a bear jam so she had to hunt up and down the road for a place she felt was safe. It was exciting to watch for sure.

Really beautiful photographs. Watching the cubs play and wrestle with each other is truly entertaining.
