Some shots of a handsome Dragonfly. The markings could be emojis they are so well shaped farther up his body.

Of the 3 shots I prefer the last as it is fully in focus and shows detail.

Thanks Em, There was a little wind moving him around and I ended up using manual focus as the lens hunted a bit when the grass swayed. I also have learned that if the angle of the camera is not square to the framing of your target, it will be unfocused on the edge, especially in macro and large aperture situations. "I Need to stay square". Too many things to remember!!!!

Species Identified:

My girlfriend is a dragonfly enthusiast and she didn't know what species this dragonfly was. We don't have them in Colorado, they are mostly Eastern US. We looked it up, it's a Calico Pennant (Celithemis elisa)
