If those were the only 2 keepers I had, I think I'd be pretty happy. Nice shootin'...

You sure live in beautiful country Tom. I really like the composition in the first image, and the colors in the second are nice and rich.

I am intrigued by the landscape shot. Interesting terrain with good composition. The shot seems to have the touch of mysterious nature.

Beautiful scenery shot Tom and the thistle is great. The OOF blade of grass on the right of the thistle head is a bit distracting but that could be fixed.
I look forward to seeing your posts as you live in one of the less spoilt areas of England.

Thanks Stu, well mine is a bit more coulourful but it looks rather sinister compared to yours, the thorns give it intent And of course yours has a bee

Thanks Laree. I was quite pleased with the 1st as I only had to step of the trail i was walking, usually its a hike into muddy bogs or vegetation to get a decent shot.

Interesting terrain
Thanks Roentarre. I like the sweep of the land on both the hills before they open up to the misty hills in the background. Unfortunately my camera didnt pick up the faint sun beams in the far background but to the eye it was alot more stunning.

Thanks Gary. Your right about the blade of grass I will try and fix that. This countryside does seem unspoiled and to a degree it is because of its national park status. If this had been a shot taken a few hundred yrs ago the scenery would be totally different though, infact you wouldnt see anything for trees. I read somewhere that the UK was almost totally covered with forest and that a squirrel could travel from the south coast of england to the north of scotland using trees and never have to touch the ground! It seems our many sheep do a good job of keeping the trees at bay.

Great shots Tom. I like the first one; the hills just seem to go on forever. The sheep give it a nice perspective too.

Great thistle shot; love the creamy bokeh. (Sounds like dinner - creamy bokeh on lamb chops....mmmmmmm)

Thanks for sharing.
