Meyer 135mm f/2.8 Orestor (M42) aka the Bokeh Monster
Posted By: Asahiflex, 08-19-2008, 01:37 PM

Lately I got myself one of those 'bokeh monsters': the Meyer Orestor 135mm f/2.8. In the shots below I have tried to work only at full aperture, i.e. f/2.8. The lens was mounted on my Pentax K10D.

Hope you like them!

I think the bokeh is creamy for #1, 2

Rough one (IMO) are the 6th 8th,14th

13th has some rough bokeh but the subject stands out

Thanks for sharing. I recall there were discussion about this many-blades lens producing great bokeh. Am I correct? Or I did mix them up with other lenses?

my first shots

I have this lens for last two weeks, but unfortunately not enough time to shot - and the weather is awful. Anyway there are first shots - at full aperture.

You make this old tool work well. I think you took aslo what might be ordinary photos and because of the way you set up composition you made them extarordinary.
Thank you!

I own the same lens and it impressed me immensely with my first pics with it.
