Misc Two Stumps

While out for my morning walk and shooting some test shots with my new-to-me Sigma 70-300mm lens, I came across these two stumps in my neighbor's lawn. The early morning shadows and texture caught my eye and thought it might make a good test subject for the lens' sharpness.

I like this one. Great texture and sharp to boot. Looks like you got a good lens.

Thanks, Susan. Yes, I got a good copy of this lens. The reviews would have you believe that it's sharpness leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm very happy with mine. This was NOT the case until I removed the UV filter that came with it! It made all the difference in the world!
