Hybrid Peregrine Falcon
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 08-12-2017, 10:57 AM

Was lucky enough to attend as a guest a falconry centre in which Lady Kerrowdown was experiencing a wee bit of falconry first hand.

This bird had just won its reward after catching the lure.

Still hot dating with my ďGorgeous LadyĒ (Pentax-A* 200mm F2.8 ED) on a dreich dull day in Perthshire (the Scottish one).

Very nice photograph... but why would there be such a thing as a a hybrid Peregrine falcon?

In someone's estimation the original version wasn't good enough?
Hybrids are supposed to be more environmentally friendly.

Aye with the small fortunes being paid for these, Iím sure the money will be spent on the environment.

They are being especially breed for racing purposes in the Middle East.
I sure hope there isn't a cent of public money going into that.

A hybrid's lithium battery power might boost its acceleration.

I wasn't going to be the one to insert the battery... beak and talons and all.
