Thankyou Scott, I love doing them. Im not sure how much hiking I would do without a camera, although I enjoy hiking the camera gives me that bit more motivation. I didnt think photography would also be good for my health!

Beautiful valley shot in deed.

This type of landscape is usually hard to do with potential for a lot of shadows and harsh lighting that would make photography difficult.

Thanks nupentaxian, we are going to Florence so I hope I can do it some justice!

Thankyou Roentarre. I do feel this pano is a tad too dark in the foreground, it took a fair bit of PP to try and balance everything out but you are right that, on a day like that when the sun is behind the clous which is behind the mountain its near impossible to get a decent shot without either blowing the sky or having extremely dark shadows. Thankfully PS comes to the rescue some of the time

Tom, you're killing me. Can't you spend a week of taking macros or something?

Nice work Thomas !!

Just spent 3 days in & around Keswick, unfortunately in driving rain & 45mph winds so didn't quite make the mountain tops -- instead walked from Buttermere up the Honistor Pass & along the Allerdale ramble to Grange, never stopped raining for 4hrs & the camera never left my rucksac !!

Thanks Marc. As much as I would love to say I was developing a mood style it purely is down to the abundance of overcast weather, although I do think im getting a bit better at this

Thanks Simon. Its a shame about the weather and that you couldnt get the camera out, I would have liked to have seen a different perspective of Keswick and its surrounding countryside. The walk you did is a nice one though and is in one of the nicest parts of the Lakes in my opinion, when you can see it that is
