Nice one. Subject stands out from the background very well. The light spot of the cut stem is just a wee bit distracting for me.

As far as distractions are concerned it is my understanding that if it is part of a photograph, it is not a distraction. A distraction would be if a photographer were working with a model in the great outdoors, and someone with a lamp shade on his head and manages to get in the shot just as the shutter release was pressed, that is a distraction.
