Speaking of the Pentax-F 35-70mm lens
Lens: Pentax-F 35-70mm Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Idaho ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

I've always liked the Pentax F-series lenses, especially the F-35-70mm and the F-70-210mm. Both have always been extremely sharp and the 35-70mm seems to produce a lot of 3-dimensional effect. It might just be my imagination, but in this shot, I think it really shows.

Thanks, Tony. It probably would have had a little more character to it if it had been either earlier or later in the day. The mid-day sun just doesn't produce the dramatic lighting I like so much!

It does have a special quality, I agree, and I too find the F35-70 really good for close-ups of flowers. A great example here!

Oh yeah, I see your point. I know all about having to deal with harsh sunlight. However, you have a wonderful capture here. The colors are truly phenomenal, composition is perfect and the bokeh is very nice. Very sharp, indeed.

What I find interesting is that this lens can be had for literally pennies on the dollar nowadays. For a lens of such fine quality, I just don't understand that!
