I really like this image. The light and color is beautiful. I'd be tempted to do go further with some burning work on the over exposed bits if possible. Lovely image though.

The colour and the texture are very intriguing. Like the plants on fire themselves.

Thanks everybody. I'm very happy you enjoyed the image. To be truthful, I have literally dozens of back lit canna leaf shots shot over the years, but this one is a bit special.

La Ree: I'd love to get rid of the over exposed background but my PS skills are sadly lacking. I'm thinking very seriously of taking a PS course this winter, there HAS to be one offered in all the different venues around NYC. I've been just too busy to look.

DB: Thanks, recently I've been doing quite a bit of back lit shots lately and other angles from the "normal".

Marc: Thanks, coming from you high praise indeed. I'm finding that the FA 20-35 is fast becoming one of my favorite "garden" lenses.

nup: thanks, I'm getting to really like how the late afternoon sun changes the colors of everything.

cupic/james: I'm getting to really really like the FA 20-35. Not only does it have a great zoom range for the way I shoot, but it's color rendition is simply superb

PatB/Peter: Thanks I've been getting a bit bored with the "same old" Having the FA 20-35 helps a lot with the color. But one of the really big benefits of digital is that "experiments" cost nothing. If it works, cool; if it doesn't, oh well nothing is lost.

NaCl(thanks, I really appreciate the comments)H2O

I like it, Salty. Next up for you is some sort of top 10 list that can be read off on the next Letterman...

But I don't even know if he's still on TV.
