Weary and Sad . . . . . . .

by the destructive gray wetness of Harvey, so . . . . . . . I'm distracting myself by posting some pictures I grabbed of some British cars on a gorgeous afternoon in Connecticut in June. I never intended to PP and post these particular shots, but nothing can put a smile on my face like bright red sports cars on a sunny, summer day.

I bought my first car in 1959, and it was an MG TC, not red but green. British sports cars were my passion for many years. Unfortunately, we may never see their likes again, on the show room floor.

He did say in those days - he wasn't talking about the days of BMC and British Leyland.

How is Harvey affecting you & yours? Hope everything is good. So sad for all the people in Houston. My wife and I lived through Camille, but nothing close water wise to Harvey.

Thanks for looking, Terry. Never owned a British sports car, but I did learn to drive in a Morris Minor convertible that my Dad bought new in '58.

Neither am I, but you can't deny the charm of these cars.

Of course, Detroit put out some sketchy stuff back then, as well - I know 'cause I unfortunately owned some examples.

We're good so far. The storm has passed and the sun is shining (going for a bike ride in a few minutes). Our concern now is about the downstream flooding which could affect us.

Thanks much for asking.
