Alternate Jellied Eels
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 08-29-2017, 02:04 PM

Naturally occurring... but in this case jellied fish.

Actually a beached jelly fish, but on closer inspection a wee fish was revealed.

Never eaten a jellied eel or jellied fish. Your picture, although good, does nothing to whet my appetite. Although when I was younger I really used to enjoy Black Pudding.

That's you and me both, I just came upon this scene on the beach at low tide.

I can really recommend, Charles Macleod (Charley Barley) Stornoway Black Pudding, which has a unique texture and moist deep flavour.

Sounds very tasty, but I don't think they carry Mr. MacLeod's Black Pudding in these parts, although other Scottish items like Walkers shortbread make their way out here, which we lay in a supply of during the Xmas season.

Odd thing though, my wife earlier this morning, checked out Black Pudding sources out here in the Canadian West and has found several local meat companies that make this lovely dish. Think in the next few weeks we will venture out and pick some up.

Do try and get a Stornoway one if you can or Canadian West version of it.

I wonder if Charles Macleod (Charley Barley) Stornoway Black Pudding is available mail order.
