Blue hour abstract at Mesquite Dunes
Posted By: The Madshutter, 08-31-2017, 02:54 AM

Beautiful Mesquite Dunes, in Death Valley (USA), are always a great source of inspiration for me and lend themselves to long exposure abstract images perfectly. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm, Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thanks for viewing, best regards

Vieri

That's very true! Enjoy Vegas (and DV) then!

Excellent detail and the blue hues are nice compliment to the light sands. I was at the great sand dunes earlier this summer, but struggled greatly with the extreme wind conditions and cloudless days. On a good day you get a very similar feel to this and it is so peaceful.
Thank you very much for. your comment, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, wind + dunes is not the best combination - at all! - unless you are shooting from afar, in which case you can create some interesting effects. That and the blue skies must have made for a frustrating trip, I am sorry to hear that... that's part of the life of a landscape photographer!

Best regards,

Vieri

Very nice...soft and subtle with different layers of topography and lighting, that seem to undulate towards the horizon . Also like the way the colours blend.

Indeed, you are posting lovely images. However, the last few were not taken with either a Pentax camera or a Pentax lens. Do you own any Pentax gear?

Thank you very much, glad you are enjoying my work About Pentax, I worked with the brand for over two years, and I used to have a 645D, then a 645Z as well as a K3. That's when I started posting here. When I moved on to other brands, many years ago now, I continued posting, and I am a supporting member of this community as well. This topic has been raised before by one other gentleman, by the way, but since there is no rule that prevents people from posting images taken with other cameras in this forum, at least so far, if that's OK by you I will continue to do so. If and when the rules' situation will change, I will act accordingly. Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Vieri
