You can take the dog out of North Carolina...
Lens: K35/3.5 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Knoxville, Tennessee ISO: 800 Aperture: F3.5

A quick shot of my Airedale this morning whilst I was doing a few "product shots" for some gear I'm in the process of sifting through.

In all honesty, while the K35/3.5 is one of my all time favorite lenses, I don't think I've ever shot it wide open--it's certainly not a bokeh monster, but I kind of like its quirks.

Ha, thanks gents--I'll be the first to admit that Maisie has been getting by on her looks since she was a puppy, but she's a great addition to the family. (I am going to have to learn to chimp for more serious "shoots" though--or else learn how to edit out twigs and pine straw!)

Beauty! I loved my Dad's Airedale back in the day. Such energy! I like the Bokeh in the shot here.

Pardner, you just said a mouthful... I take her on a five mile hike every morning just to make sure the house survives another day.

At any rate, those old K-series lenses can produce some interesting effects--the 135/2.5 and 55/1.8 really work wide open of course, but even the 28/3.5 can do the job if you're not obsessed with the modern "look."

Ha, thanks gents--I've always taken it as a given that a dog with burrs in its coat and/or muddy paws is usually a pretty happy dog.

Very well done! I have the same lens my self, you demonstrate it's capacity.

Ha, I always get disappointed when I see you're not shooting your copy of the K35/3.5--the blues in those Scandinavian landscapes are really made for this lens.
