Love the sharpness and contrast you got. Tripod? Exif is missing...what focal length did you shoot this at? I'm wondering if it would be preferable for me to leave my collection of prime lenses (15, 21, 40, 70) at home and just travel with one lens like this.

No tripod
No use of ND filters and edition made with LigthRoom v5.7

Just a small note its actually Eilean Donan and what you are looking at is a 1900's restoration of the castle which the English destroyed in 1719 during the Jacobite uprising.

A very nice capture of this location...looks like a break in the clouds lit your foreground just right...lots of detail there...and the dark skies add drama to the rear...well done Ginos.

Interesting image. However as with many such images, the reasons for building them is difficult to understand these days. Castles always look so cold and barren.
