A very nice series. I was not aware that these trees had such shallow root systems.

Glad to hear you are OK. Trees can be replaced thankfully but lives cannot.

It's crazy that some of the best weather of the season will be immediately following a hurricane. It has been absolutely wonderful weather since Monday.

It's Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 mostly at f5.6-8, still new to me, and don't like it very much. It's weird lens, imo, but it's good walking around range.

It's too hot for me now, which makes it difficult to work outside. I actually loved hurricane cool weather, and I was outside so many times during the hurricane enjoying it.

Thanks, Tonytee.
Yes, some trees here can't grow deep here, our neighborhood was build on dried Everglades, mostly rocks and a bit soil.

happy to here you made it through the storm ok , we felt some of the spin off up here in Eastern Canada from Irma , which was hard to believe that was one massive storm you guys had down there , that being said I've recently returned my 24 - 78mm Tamron used it for a while put it away then started using it again , my problem was I couldn't use it near the Sun for the weird flares I would get from it , recently used it for a night shot with a full moon when I opened the file on my computer and seen flare again , now I cant use this lens at night , so returned it to my retailer and asked to have it returned and checked . its been three weeks since Tamron has had this lens and I haven't heard a word from them , so needles to say I'm not happy about that ! Reading your post , fully agree it is a Weird lens . Cheers .. Alan

So very glad you are ok! Your images really are depicting the strength of that storm.
