The Spruce Goose.

It's big. I had the opportunity to get inside and on top of the wing, when it was in the dome on Long Beach.

Certainly is huge in size comparing the Bell Copter next to the tail section.

It's displayed in an enormous building up here in McMinnville. Takes up quite a bit of space. We could walk in about 5 feet. That was it. Has an interesting story behind it.

AND built out of wood. "Spruce" Goose is a misnomer. It was built mostly out of birch. But "Birch Goose" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I've been lucky enough to see it at both Long Beach and McMinville. It is truly a remarkable bit of aviation history

You know it's huge when the tail dwarfs so many other aircraft! Thanks for posting. So many historical aircraft I'd love to see in the USA.

This place was pretty cool. An enormous complex with multiple buildings and outside exhibits.
