Abstract Alien looking Orchid

I have been photographing this orchid species for about a decade. It flowers in the wild every year in select locations for about 2 weeks of the year.

This year I decided to do it a little differently. I placed the ring flash beneath the flower and then took the image. Kind of cool effect.

nice shot! really like the composition and the subject is really popping out from the background ! good one
