Inside the Venetian fortress - Spinalonga #2

Another photo of the fortress at Spinalonga - this time, from inside the walls.

Taken with the Q7 + 02 standard zoom, processed in LR6 with my own "CCD look" preset and a few other tweaks...

Hi BigMackCam...really enjoying your travelogue from Crete...the Q7/lenses are producing some lovely images...thanks for sharing.

Thank you, you're very kind

The Q7's RAW files benefit from quite a bit of sharpening, especially where the 02 standard zoom is concerned; I typically add +50 sharpening with +80 masking on a full-size image. The 02 deserves more credit than it often receives... It's not the sharpest bit of glass, but it captures plenty of detail, and with appropriate sharpening it can produce very nice images

I agree with all said, the Q7 + 02 + Pentax Blitz Flash AF201FG is my goto combination for family events, would love the 08 but will rely on 01, 02, 06 for the moment. Another forum member said only lens missing is a macro - but don't think we'll see that available, if ever.
