Karoo House
Posted By: GummyBear, 10-03-2017, 07:19 PM

A small Karoo house on the main road of my town. Sadly it is very dilapidated and almost derelict, yet astonishingly there is a family living (squatting?) there. These houses were built from unfired mud brick around the turn of the last century when the town was founded (most of the houses were built between 1902 and 1920 or so). My own house was built in 1914.

Traditional old buildings are so often best represented in B&W - afterall, that is what they were built for.
