Snake rescue (don't use sticky glue rodent traps!)
Posted By: Knock, 10-07-2017, 08:34 PM

My girlfriend received a call from a friend about a small snake stuck in one of those glue paper type rodent traps. We gathered her snake rescue supplies (olive oil) and drove out to the scene. The young rat snake was hopelessly stuck in the trap. With a healthy supply of olive oil and steady hands, she gently and methodically freed the snake from the sticky trap. The little rat snake was very patient and happy to finally be free. I'm posting only the freed snake pics--the others weren't so nice. If you have a choice, don't use those sticky glue type rodent traps...they catch a much more than just rodents.
