That's not a real place.

Aye it's just off the High Street in the village of Brigadoon, which rises out of the Scottish mist only once every 100 years, but only for one day. Brigadoon is an enchanted place where life is simpler and easier, untouched by the worries of the modern world.

Yep, you're on the slippery slope when you can't get the model to look the right way!

IMO, it's ok to break the rules once you know them and understand why they are.

I get called on rules and composition all of the time.

Especially since the rule of thirds seems to be the only oe anyone knows, learn the other 10 is you want to follow the rules.

But trying to use 'em all at the time of image capture... I've started to just "wing it" as I've got older.

Ya, apply the rules after you take the photograph. There's bound to be one that fits.

Your photo follows the rule of thirds, she's just pointed the wrong way. If she was pointed the right way she would have seen you. Practical choice.

I watched her for ages, waiting for her to turn, but she never did... well least whilst I was there.

Some people might lable such conduct as

" Stalking "

Of course is it stalking if you remain in one place without moving ??
