I disagree with @Adam {I hope that doesn't cause too much trouble for me!!} - the B&W version is too washed out for my taste -but both photos portray well a bird in a hurry with his "treasure".

I see that a lot around here. I blue jay or a squirrel will take a peanut from my squirrel feeder, and then s/he dashes off to eat this "treasure" in peace. You captured that process well.

Thanks for the response. Fortunately, I still have the original to experiment with different looks

I don't take a side but there is a thread for manual focus action shots. A contest you should post this in.

I see what you're saying about that- but with tweaks I think the B&W version would ultimately work better. IMO, the colors distract and don't add to the photo, plus the composition in the B&W version concentrates more on the bird.

Manual focus with birds is crazy, tried it before haha nice capture!
