Another Dimly Lit Kirk
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 10-22-2017, 03:14 AM

Similar MO as before, but with "Special Lady” (Pentax-A 50mm F1.2) this time, very ornate and lit purely from an open front door.

I did say "Similar MO", this was a spare pew at the back for support, hence the lower viewpoint.

Maybe it is my different cultural or limited photography background or simply lack of inspiration, but I can't conclusively figure out what 'MO' stands for ...

Did you go on a bus tour to famous churches, or just shopping for the one that offer the best deal on salvation?

No, I seemed to spend lot of time hanging about waiting on other folk on that last assignment, so filled in, with some me time shots.

No I'm under no illusions in which direction I'm going when the time comes and for me salvation is not on the table.

Are these Greek or Russian Orthodox churches, it looks like it from the amount of ornamentation, I think I would prefer a more austere style myself

The open front door is interesting as when I was in Sicily a couple of years ago all the churches were closed unless there was a ceremony taking place which I thought was strange as here they are open all day.

I didn't think it was many, just checked the LR catalogue, this was the second shot of two, the first being about a half to a stop over exposed.

Aye she normally works away well with me... we have that understanding now after all these years, that's why she's called my "Special Lady” (Pentax-A 50mm F1.2).
