An Idaho Potato Farmer

This was a fine example of a '57 Chevy PU! It had a nice 400 HP 350 CID "crate motor" in it that sounded soooo fine! I would like to have taken some more pictures of it, but the old timer was in a bit of a hurry, as you can kinda' tell by his expression. I guess his potatoes were waiting on him.

The interior was very nice tan leather with a four-on-the-floor tranny.

Now that's a real pick up, not the Far Eastern stuff we get here.

I really enjoyed the fact that he didn't mess with the basic lines of the truck. No major body re-styling, no scallops in the hood, no removing of the door handles.... all that kind of stuff. He just lowered it enough to give it a nice "rake," installed some nice, stylish chrome wheels and tires (not the super-short-walled nonsense!) and gave her a superb red paint job. Not a ripple to be seen ANYWHERE! The bed was gorgeous oak with chrome slats. He told me it was a "frame-up" restoration. Fine. Mighty fine.
