One for Jacquot and Br'er Mole
Lens: 67 55/4 Camera: P67 Photo Location: GSMNP ISO: 100

One that PF members Jacquot and Mole will recognize--Porter's Creek in the GSMNP. It's one of the lovelier flows I've been on (which is saying a lot) so it was nice to explore quickly without a fly rod in my hand. Still learning my P 67 kit-- for instance, that the 55/4 vignettes a bit with the CPL/hood arrangement I'm using--but otherwise I remain a big fan of Acros.

I loved that hike, and this captures the essence of it, the wide stream, big round rocks, dense forest and Rhodies.

A delicate and lovely rendition - thanks so much for sharing.

Also brings back many memories - a local High School teacher used to coordinate trail volunteers for Porters Creek Trail - several of my children worked maintaining this trail when they were teens.

Thanks! The Greenbrier area is definitely a place to visit if you're in the GSMNP--it's most famous for its wildflower displays, but of course it's beautiful any time of year.

Thanks, Kerrowdown--it's a part of the world where your ancestors might have felt right at home. (FWIW, many of the first white men in this part of the world were veterans of Oglethorpe's 42 Regiment of Foot who had been recruited primarily in the Inverness area.)
