Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta 2017

I've started going through my shots from New Mexico at the beginning of the month, just about finished sorting through the 1000 or so images i shot and wanted to get something up tonight.

This was my first balloon festival and it was incredible! The lights and sounds and people watching made for some great photography.

The Black & White rendering creates a mood of drama.

I really like the shot. I even like it cropped down to horizontal so that the focus is more on the people who are all pushing towards the same goal. So much balloon photography has to do with the incredible color, it's nice to see black and white that captures the hobby this well.

Judicious vertical framing and use of b/w. Like it a lot.
