Bark Bokeh

I believe the tree to be some form of Maple, but more learned folk will identify it more readily than I.

Did you do this just to stir us up, Kerrowdown? It's more like some form of mallee gum - an Australian interloper. I don't recognize the thin, clumpy leaves but it may be from down south or Western Australia.

Did it work?

After a bit more homework I believe the tree to be a Eucalyptus gunnii.

Well, whatever the species, it certainly is an amazing study in natural textures!

I was about to remark on just how well your A-series prime handled the scene without fringing (tree bark is always a sort of torture test for my K's) but it seems you have a zoom on holiday...60-250/4?

No please remark away... error on focal length lens input, was in fact my “Gorgeous Lady” (I don't own any Pentax zoom lenses).

You photograph some things I wouldn't even notice - that is a positive comment BTW

Thanks, I have developed an eye to see, rather than look over the years.
