Very nice! I'm always afraid of taking pictures on the street. I'm always worried that people will get annoyed or even combative at having their picture taken. What did you do?

People usually give you some kind of hint when they don't want to be photographed. They'll either wave their hand, cover their face, or turn their head. It doesn't happen much, but it does happen.

That brings me to Lulu. Not only did she not mind having her pic taken.....she wanted me to take more. She started posing like she was a model. It was hilarious. I actually ended up doing some portrait type PP on a few of them and they turned out pretty good. I wasn't really prepared for a model shoot, but I'm hoping to hook up with her for a more extensive session. She's definitely not shy and has a lot of personality!

Wow, that's pretty encouraging. So even some of those shots where you seem to be pretty much right in front of their faces, there wasn't a problem, generally?

I was in front of their faces! Most of these (if not all of them) were shot with the Sigma 17-70 lens. Hard to sneak up on people at that focal length. The couple in #18 didn't see me take the pic even though I was sitting at the table across form them. I actually showed them the pic in the viewfinder and gave them my card. Ya never know....

Love the variety and great people shots! Don't know that I'd want to visit there, but your pics provide the next best thing. This ol' black dirt farm boy really enjoys your "big city" pictures. Thanks.

Great candid shots Alan. Laurel and Hardy in front of the police station really make you feel safe don't they?
You were right about a lot, if you still shot film, you'd be single.

Thanks! Even though I'm from the city, I'm a country boy at heart...

Thanks, Jimbo. You should visit some time. It's nearly not as bad as it can be made out to be...

Very true. I think they're also used to seeing cameras around.
