Stopped at The Preserve in Searsport to check the ice and my wife decided she wanted to throw some of the flat ice that had built up along the shore out onto the thickening ice.
Since I had my 40xs on the camera I tried to get a few action shots as she chucked them out and I was happily surprised by how they came out.
Just ran them with the best DXO profile that appeared to give the best contrast for a shot made about noon under cold winter sun. Then cropped a great deal for easier upload.
Most at ISO 100 F11 and varied shutter speeds. Slow continuous mode shooting.
The last picture isn't action but a bit of ice stuck in the mud. She didn't get them out there too far.
