Dusk over Mesquite Dunes
Lens: Voigtlander 15mm Camera: Leica SL ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F11

Dusk over Mesquite Dunes, taken in Death Valley during one of my Workshops there last January with a Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm v. III and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thanks for viewing, best regards

Another great shot which I think comes down to where you put your eye.

I would have made the mistake of climbing up to get on top of the dunes, ok it would have given a different perspective but I doubt if it would have given such a sense of depth.

One of those shots that really draw the viewer into the scene. Beautifully done.

Wow. Love the perspective and tonality. Sharp foreground leading to that beautiful sky. With the mountain range in between to add a little separation.

Very true, climbing on the dune would have rendered the scene in a completely different way - wouldn't have worked for this dune in particular, but it does work per se of course and it is something I often do when in Mesquite
